Hi all!
I just read The Millionaire Fastlane and thought the book was great. It really made me realize some mental roadblocks I faced that I have had for a long time.
I am a 29 year old entrepreneur and US citizen living in the UK. I joined this forum because (1) it was mentioned several times in the book and (2) I have only one friend who is an entrepreneur and his insights are valuable, and I hope I can make more like-minded friends here and (3) I want to help others from making the same mistakes I made and (4) I am hoping to take my income to the next level this year.
I say I am quasi-successful because I successfully set up a relatively passive revenue stream with my info-product sold at www.chrissalvato.com. I am currently making about $12k/year with ~12k visits(sessions) / month. My product teaches people how to get to their first handstand.
I have also set up another revenue stream where the income is on the uptrend through a "niche SEO site" at REMOVED which has scaled from $40 in Feb, to $60 in March, $100 in April and on track for $400 in May with little-to-no work since January.
When you combine these revenue streams, though, I am at only about $30k/year, and my goal is to get up to $1M this year just before I move back to the US...
It's a big step, but that's where my third venture comes in - SEO/PPC services for the affluent (10k+/month/client). This is a challenge, because I haven't taken on clients of this magnitude before, but I just sent out very comprehensive direct marketing packages as a "cold call" in the mail. I invested $1k into this venture so far, and will start to get feedback this week, I hope.
Because I am so far from my goals after years of work, I often struggle with motivation. At this point, I need a big win or fear I will fall off the wagon and back into the Slowlane.
I would also like to ask for some feedback on my ventures. Things like, "should I stay the course and try to grow out one revenue stream? or should I pursue my higher value venture [SEO/PPC consulting] most aggressively?" I'll try to look around and see if I can find the best place for questions like this, but if you can let me know as experienced forum members, that would be great!
