I am half way through the book, TMF, and can't put it down. I actually started reading Click Millionaires first, then jumped over to TMF to see how it started. Now I can't put TMF down. Click will have to wait. I'm 52 years old in May, and working 50+ hours/week at a job that I enjoy, but am trapped at the upper end of my income potential with a J.O.B. and that upper limit is unacceptable to me. I made all the mistakes of my generation, using credit to live a lifestyle beyond my means, always being taught the "slowlane" and "pay yourself first" although I could never figure out how to pay myself when I had to cover all my bills first. I started two or three businesses but always with no cash down or little cash down. The last business I purchased with a loan, and I did not do diligence worth a crap and the biz failed, and I almost lost my house. Now my wife and I have been digging out of debt, we have paid off all credit card debt, and our only debt now is the mortgage on the house. We are underwater on the house by 100K and this is all becoming so clear to me that "slowlaning" will NEVER allow me to get out of this mess. I would have to work until I die. So here I am. I am learning web development, and I love landscape photography, and I am constantly thinking of some way to build an internet business that will solve pain points for a large enough market to make my family and I rich. I tend to focus on the artists/photographer's markets but I am not sure what pain points are out there that could use a great solution. I have joined this forum to explore and get to know this great community and to help me learn how to "see" opportunities for my fastlane business that may be right under my nose. I look forward to hanging around here and absorbing as much as I can. Thanks!
