Always conditioned by schools, I thought of businesses as a risky venture that crumbles 99% of businesses in their reach for money and I was told that the only path for me was a college degree, a 9-5 job, a decent life of savings, having to track and manage every expenses, forgetting that $9 cup of coffee, and forgetting my dreams. After reading the Millionaire Fastlane , I saw to those dreams a possibility of coming into fruition, a possibility of getting what I want in life-cars, options, healthier foods that cost more, and not having to look at the price tag, etc.-, and ever since, I've started plugging my ears at any of my teachers' talk of financial decision.
As of right now I'm testing needs for digital closet app. I saw an annoyance in how long and messy it takes to test clothes on and off for an occasion, how little information online buying gives to what fits a person, and how one can only make decisions about what to wear only when they're at home. As I continued to develop the app, I continually saw barriers that could be a turn off to the people, like them having to upload their entire wardrobe online or how there's already an existing app (this doesn't scare me, I know I could be the best of 2 and meet commandment of entry still). I believe my fault is that I poured in 6 months of effort on the business on what I believed the people needed and not what they actually needed and I should have tested before putting asymmetrical amounts of effort.
Seeing how textbook-like and robotic current translator apps are, I've also considered making an AI translator app (ironically) that could understand and make casual human interactions, slang, idioms, etc. and so as of right now, I'm doing demonstration posts (Prototypes or MVPs as they call it) for both the closet and translator app to find needs (in the form of sign-ups) that could get me started on my business (I'm aware that I am splitting my time between two businesses, and any argument to this approach I will take).
The book has changed my life. This community is absolutely crazy in that I see so more nuance lessons outside of the book, such a great group of dream-seekers, I am thankful for the opportunity to join, and will be thankful for any thoughts on my current idea/approach.
