Recently signed up after wanting to connect with more likeminded individuals as well as learn more that i cannot learn from talking to peers physically.
Im 24, graduated from uni studying catering & hospitality management 2 years ago. In my final year i began my first venture/business which was in the fashion industry. This venture had a massive 6 months but did not sustain and continued to fall by about 18 months - a family member now runs this and joined me on this.
I have a full time job where i manage another retail based company within the engineering industry which i am hoping to grow to its full potential. I also manage a merchandising company using my links from the fashion industry on the side which i aim to grow also.
I have recently began trying to increase my knowledge in regards to be financially intelligent. I had no role models financially (1 parent had huge debts, the other involved in criminal activities and bankrupt). I myself made some silly mistakes whilst studying which got me into some debt which i am paying off now.
I have got to a point in my life, where i need to crack on and really increase my knowledge and expand my current businesses and not make more mistakes. Will be reading as many threads as possible over the next few weeks and will reply where i feel appropriate - let me know if you have any questions or any books to read!
