I'm in slowlane actually. But I plan to move to fastlane soon. I work as a software developer, I can't say that I don't like it, but I believe I would be even happier having my own company.
I'm the kind of guy that always wanted to create a Saas, but never knew a market well enough to come up with an idea that solves a problem. The closest I got to it was when a friend that works for a frame industry, but it was really hard to evaluate the idea not working in the sector. I tried cold reaching some manager of frame industries through Linkedin but all were not willing to help.
Finally, I decided to create the business with what I have, knowledge to develop custom software. I'm in the initial phase, trying to grab the first client, but it has been tough, so I came to this forum to ask for help.
