Hi !
My name is Jonathan , and I’m a closeted entrepreneur.
I first understood I was an entrepreneur when I got tired of trying to buy my own snacks at school and my mom wouldn’t give me any money. So I took what little I had and bought candy by the bag, selling it for a small profit to kids on the bus. And I learned my first business lesson, don’t “snack” on your own supply.
Since then I have gone through lawn care, vacuum sales ( I was soooo bad ) MLM, music promotion, real estate and a dozen other things.
I’m almost 40 and I am settled into my slave job as a paramedic. I even managed to “business” that by upscaling to contract work overseas. Those days are over for now. No paramedics are making $20,000 a month any more.
I was working in Ukraine and living there with my wife. After the war started we had to leave the country and ended up racking up a ton of credit card debt living in Europe while trying to get visa and travel sorted.
Now we are settled in the US , working tax-paying jobs ( yay ) , 10s of thousands in debt.
I am literally burning inside every day. I have been so close, multiple times. For example , 25 years ago I got kicked out of school and I thought this “programming” stuff sounded interesting. I didn’t even have a computer, I bought 3 books on C++, tried to learn programming through reading , decided it was stupid and gave up. Nice.
I have a list of ideas pages long, I can research and find the best / cheapest / quickest way to do almost anything, I know who to market it to, and how to do it.
I can make it work. I went from zero real estate experience to flipping 2 houses remotely at the same time from overseas.
I had 3 air bnbs going bringing in $15000 a month.
What is my problem ? Maybe I lack follow through ? I can plan out and create an empire in my mind and then I just … don’t.
I’m here because I read the books. And I’m going to reread them. My wife is pregnant and I will NOT raise a kid while working 70 hours a week like my dad did. The time has come. Now or never.
