Hello everyone.
My name is Sohan and I am from India. I have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and have worked in a IT firm for a while. Having taken the job during the pandemic in a field that had little to do with my educational background had its effects and I quit shortly. Since then I have struggled to find a direction. I have been broke for some time now and am trying to find ways to earn money online hoping I could use some of the skills like CAD designing that I learned during my college years.
I have been reading some books after quitting my job to help me develop a mindset to get me out of this situation and that's how I learned about this forum. I am currently reading the book The Millionaire Fastlane and hope to achieve financial freedom someday. Reading in general helped me a lot during the last few months. It gives me a glimmer of hope in times when I am feeling down and clueless about my future and the fact that I am broke and living in my parents house (although it is quite normal where I am from) adds to the troubles. It has been difficult for several months trying to get out of bad habits and developing better ones, falling back to older habits and trying again. But I hope to come out of this and get on the fastlane and experience success.
So here I am on the forum in the hope of learning new things from like minded people. I have read some posts on this forum of people who have achieved great things starting from terrible places which is extremely inspiring. I wish everyone reading this all the best for their journey.
