Hi guys! My name is Max. I'm a 22 year old turning 23 in May. I come from a very humble background. Limited education, limited skills, partially homeless, and a limited future. I wasn't blessed with any remarkable skills, and ever since I've been working labor intensive jobs and drifting along life.
It wasn't until I read the millionaire fastlane that it gave me hope and a trajectory where I could go in my life. It's actually crazy how one idea or piece of advice can drastically change your life, and this is why I suggest everyone should read. It only takes one piece of advice from a book to change your life. Even if a book is 99 percent awful, if you receive one good tip from that book, then it's already worth its price.
I am very grateful that I've found mjs book at such a young age, but don't let that discourage you if you found it at an older age. I believe anyone can be successful at any age, regardless of their circumstances. I'm very grateful to meet you guys, and I believe that you can be successful as long as you have grit and persistence. You only fail when you quit. I really appreciate mj breaking down how wealth is made and showing the business types people use to gain massive wealth. Though he didn't go too in depth, he does give you a framework. If you're confused and not sure what business you should start to earn wealth, I suggest you stop and look around you since it's quite literally in your face in plain sight. There's many routes you can take to build wealth, and I'll list them here if you're lost.
You can go the coding route, which was mentioned in mjs book, where you build software. You can build:
Websites/web applications
Mobile applications
Desktop applications
Browser extensions
Games
physical products - Or you can go the physical product route where you sell or create physical tangible products. From the clothes you buy to the car you drive, and even the device you're reading this on is considered a physical product. This is very vast, and you will see how many products there are out there. Just look on Amazon or around you. Nearly 99 percent of things you see are physical products that someone had to create and manufacture. Why can't that someone be you?
digital products - this is where you sell digital products to people. things like ebooks, pdfs, templates, etc. They are pretty much intangible things, and there's a lot, but I can't list them all off the top of my head.
Information selling - this is self-explanatory, but this is where you sell information to people. things like courses, video tutorials, mentorships, any information that people need you can offer them. It could even be selling a course on how to learn a skill or something like that. Don't underestimate this type of business since it's very common and you can make buttloads of money. Just think about it. Is there a skill or anything that you have that people would be willing to pay you for that information? If you don't have any, so what? Go learn something people would need.
service-based business - this is where you charge a fee for a service. think freelance. Many people offer web design for a fee. This is a service-based system. If you scale and have people work for you like how agencies do it, this can be a really profitable business, though very complicated to run since it involves people. You can do this online or in person. Even the cars you see with the logos are probably trying to offer you a service.
brick and mortar- this is a business with a physical presence. as in you can actually go in the place. Think: gyms, restaurants, retail stores, fast food chains, warehouses, etc. You are serving customers in a building rather than online. though you can include online services as well if you want to ship the customer products. It's very hard to start since you need some capital, but it can work well if you plan on scaling.
rentals - the main way people use this is by real estate, but you can do different types of rentals like storage units, renting cars to people, parking, etc. but the main one people look at is real estate. its offering housing to people for a fee. You can do single family homes, multi-family homes, apartments, etc. You can even start doing AirBnB, but I don't recommend but it's up to you. You yourself are probably paying someone to live in a place as rent. You're putting money into someone else's pocket, and you can switch that scenario.
content creation - lastly is content creation. This is where you make content and build a following. A lot of people have built successful brands using this method. Think of: blogs, youtube, podcasts, etc. very hard to stand out, low barrier to entry, and you need to be exceptional, though you can make anything work if you put your mind into it.
And that's it, guys. Hopefully I gave you a clearer idea of what you can do and start, and if I miss anything, you can let me know down below, but I think I covered like 99 percent of it, so you're good. The next step you have to do is find a need in any of these marketplaces and follow the cents framework, but most importantly, take immediate action. Also keep in mind guys that they overlap with each other. For example, you can open a brick and mortar business and offer a service to people, or you can go the content creation route and offer courses to people. Don't think too hard about it, and it's very fluid on where you can take things. Oh, and also, you can still be successful breaking some of mjs cents framework. You can break the commandment of control by selling someone else's product or doing business on another company platform. You can break the commandment of entry and go to a marketplace that's crowded but still stand out. I've seen this countless times over and over, but you get the idea. The only thing you shouldn't break is need. lol nope. If you break that, you're done. and that's it. But for the best possible business, I suggest you follow all of them since mj took the time to uncover these are offer them to you through his years of failures/experience.
Keep in mind, guys, everything on this list is hard, and don't let that discourage you. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. You're also embarking on a journey that millions of people will not do, so feel proud of yourself for standing out.
As a parting note, you can learn anything you need in order to be successful. All skills are learnable. My best advice is that if you have any problems that you're facing or if there's an area in your life that needs improvement, I suggest you read about it. There are so many books out there that can help you tackle any problem that you're facing. If you don't know how to code, there are books on that, don't know marketing or any entrepreneurship skills, there are also books on that. If you have bad habits, lack of discipline, or lack of motivation, there are also books on that. If you don't know how to start a successful startup, there are books on that. My point is just read. If you don't know something or you want to get better at something, just go find the information you need to be successful. There are books written by people who have been in the same situation or problem as you and have overcome it. It's literally a cheat code.
I won't post as often since I am focused on making things work. I will only post my progress so far, and it may take a few weeks to months to see any updates from me, but I made an account just so I can say hello to you guys. I'll pop in randomly though!
So yeah, I wish you all well in your journey. And on another note, nothing else matters in this world but action. take action. It's not talking about your ideas, it's not hoping, it's not wishing, it's action, man, action. You can only change with action.
