I have been doing an inventory of myself to find out why I am so confused as to what to do about my slow lane situation. Every year I find myself becoming more mature, it is also a slow process for me. I used to drink heavy in my early 20's and am two months away from being 2 years sober. It is my fastlane goals and the love of my wife that influenced me to stop drinking. When I used to indulge in drinking, I had an illusion that I could just read fast lane books and somehow the fast lane would just fall into my lap. I have read many fast lane books along the way and now that I look back thats all I have done. I have not got out of debt as I have made a post of getting out of debt as it relates to the fast lane. In fact I am in more debt with a daughter and brand new house that I bought on an FHA loan. On top of that my wife racked up more credit card debt to furnish this brand new house and my daughters nursery. Through out the past few weeks I have been experimenting with doing daily things a little differently. Controlling my habits and myself. I have woken up early just to see how it feels. I have started to keep a budget daily ands i record things "as soon as I swipe my debit card". I have started my morning with a workout on some days not all. I have started to avoid people at work that I usually argue with, and use all my downtime to read and educate myself. My career is what I call a fireman job we usually don't react or do anything unless we are needed. Arguing and quarreling is very common in this business. I am just getting fed up with it all. I see people buy everything at my job and work massive hours and comeback to work with lack of sleep and shitty moods.These people are average, and i get sucked in with them. I know freedom is a more prized possession than material things. I am lucky to have all this knowledge, but need to put it to action. I have tons of incomplete projects and books I might add, I frequent this forum once in a while, and contribute nothing all while paying for INSIDERS. Being in debt just makes me feel like I can't get to the next step of what must be done. In my heart I know getting out is the first step. I have mastered quitting smoking and drinking, debt is my next battle, then I shall take the challenge of entrepreneurship. I have tried a few things such as importing from china all on credit and nothing sells on ebay. I should be doing all of this with cash. I don't mean to complain. I just feel I needed to openly admit what is wrong. Has anyone just felt stuck as I do? what can I do about all of this? Who wants to help me?
