OK, Hello, I have just joined the site so as recommended I am making an introduction. So I have been "Around the Block" Age 53 and 33 years in business , the first 21 years mainly in Multi-national organisations in the tech sector, I stated as an engineer , moved through the ranks up to CEO level. I jumped into the entrepreneurial world 12 years ago and have one significant success under the belt and a small number of less than successful ventures. My current ventures (As an added value investor) include Digiprove (Digital content protection), TradersNow (Financial trading signals and strategies), Organisation Intelligence (OD tools & services), TMTT (Tidal Marine Turbines). In parallel I work with entrepreneurs and state development agencies (mainly voluntary) assisting start ups and economic development through entrepreneurship.
I recently developed a simple Model "The Business Advantage Model(tm)" & entrepreneurs master classes pulling all my experience and relevant acedemic knowledge and tools. I did this because start up failure rates are high, and if we can improve success rates even by just a few percentage points we can create economic wealth and jobs. The value of the model is to help entrepreneurs do the right thing, the right way at the right time. What glues the model together is a focus on Competitive/Business advantage life cycles. Its not rocket science, its designed to be pragmatic and allow for different business contexts.
