OK. I am not sure where to post this to express my disappointment. So I thought this is a good place to post it and express my thought about competition. I bet a lot of members may have the same issues once a while.
Is competition good or bad?
Here is the story.
Few minutes ago, my post on MerchantCircle (MC) was deleted under the "Promote Your Business" forum. There is not one words about competition in their terms and condition. I post my free advertisement offer to the local businesses in the forum yesterday. Two MC agents reply that I should not compete with MC. So they deleted my post few minutes ago. They don't even give me the chance to say "SORRY!"
Am I competing with MC? I thought I am way too small to compete with MC, which is the leader in promoting local businesses.
Am I really competing with MC? I guess I was NOT, but I am sure I do now! Their action motivates me to be a better local business marketing solutions than MC is. I don't feel sorry. I am not angry and not mad, but energized.
Actually, I have beaten MC for many local search terms. Local people are using my system to save money and shop local stores.
I felt funny that my post was a threat to the MC agents. I feel great that I have a big challenge in front of me to accomplish.
Competition is good for me. At least, I have a target in front of me to catch! I am going to pass them soon!
