Is it even worth getting investors in your business?

If you get investors then aren't you risking turning from an authentic, product-quality oriented business into an overcapitalist, pleasing-your-investors-and-not-your-customers type of business? Also you kind of relinquish the CENTS commandment of Control. For these reasons, I don't see why it would be desirable, except for the starting capital for building an expensive-to-create business. Or maybe i'm not seeing something.
