I started reading Fastlane after watching a YouTube channel about book summaries, in one of those many books Fastlane tempted me. I'm 18 years old and I'm very interested in finance and self-development, so I had already come across many classics and YouTube channels, but none of them offered me a quick way to make the most of my youth.
I'm a beginner programmer and I'm looking for ways to create sustainable insurance to actually take advantage of several desires that I have that require time, more than I'm able to provide today. Before coming here I had 10-year plans of seeing myself as an ordinary employee and only in my wildest dreams did I imagine myself undertaking and taking so many risks.
The needs made me do something completely outside my comfort zone. I couldn't imagine the life I have in 10, 20 or 40 years. I then began to ask myself, what would I regret most on my deathbed? What is one thing that at my young age I should do so I don't regret it? The answer was "raise money responsibly and prepare for a future where I am powerless and without energy."
My main goal is "to enjoy life studying interesting things without worrying about money", a simple but very difficult goal. To satisfy my greed, the first thing I set out to achieve was "financial freedom as quickly as possible".
I'm reading the books now. Sorry about my English, I've been self-taught for a few months, but it's not at such a good level. I hope the community keeps me on track and I'll be here looking for inspiration.
