Hey everyone,
Hope you're doing awesome!
I realize "intellectually" that the Fastlane is all about execution.
But I had a random "internalization" moment when thinking about Weird Al.
Point: Millions of people have probably thought, "Gee wouldn't it be a great idea to make parody songs of pop music? I bet you'd make tons of money doing that!" But Weird Al seems to be one of the very few able to actually execute *well* on that idea.
I don't think many people *can* execute on that idea. Weird Al seems to have a very specific talent that he's obviously refined through hard work and process over the years, but is also very unique to him, and pretty much only him.
But here's a question that sprung out of that line of thinking: *Can* everyone execute well on any "good idea?" Or do you have to pick your battles based on your existing talents? Which kinda brings you back to the cliche "do what you love and/or are good at."
And if execution is so important (which it is) are there any good books/resources on improving your execution skills?
Happy Friday
