So, since last year I've had a blog at joblessteen.com. I felt it was a great way to help teens with life topics in general while injecting humor into it at the same time.
After reading the Fastlane Millionaire a couple weeks ago, I realized that this blog would be a great business venture. Even though I like to write, I put that aside and didn't factor it into assessing the feasibility of my blog. Adhering to the all-important "Elements of Successful Business Idea", I think Jobless Teen would help solve a need (teenagers always have problems, from academics to relationships to health, and need a laugh here and there!), and could be leveraged (basically my audience is teenagers worldwide).
I plan to write a series of separate articles that readers can access by email-subscription. And then more indepth e-books. (I'll have to do more research on this.)
One issue, I think, is marketing to teenagers. Would they be willing to pay any amount of money for some e-Book? Also, what about entry? Blogging seems like the venture that most violates this.
What do you think? Any recommendations? Is there something I'm missing? Ways I could improve my blog? Is this Fastlane? Thanks in advance!
