Jumping into the Fastlane!

Hi guys, I’m new to the forum, and I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am to have come across this site! I have been YEARNING for a resource like this! I have been to plenty of other sites on the topic of success and wealth, passive income, etc. this is by far the best! Most other sites just waste your time and try to convince you you’ll be rich selling ebooks and working affiliates….blaah. :bgh:

This site is the complete opposite! I have always imagined how nice it would be to associate with real people who have gone through exactly what I want to achieve. Reading through the posts, I can say I already absolutely love this community! I love how direct everyone is, and I love the level of commitment to hold members to high standards.

I have been doing everything within my power to avoid following the general trend of the majority population. My goal is to discover how I can best provide true value to people, and like many other Fastlane members, achieve financial independence. I'm looking for the true gurus. I'm willing to push to any extreme to learn everything you guys have to offer. I am so thankful for the opportunity to join and become a part of such an amazing community.

Like many other members just starting out, I don't have the startup capital for anything extreme like buying a $20k website; I basically need to work from the ground up. I’m a 25 yr old college student majoring in Compsci and minoring in Japanese, and am now considering a minor in business as well. I wanna learn everything and anything I possibly can that’ll help me succeed. As for how I’m planning to succeed, I’m still trying to figure that out, all I know is that ultimately I want to own an online business. Even before arriving here, I’ve always known I have no interest in getting a job (worked McD’s as a teenager, not something I care to repeat), which made finding this site is a real treat! I'm currently taking the semester off from school, trying to get my life figured out. Amazing how we're brainwashed all the way from Elementary school to go to college so we can get a good JOB! I guess one of the issues I'm struggling with is finding the right direction, although I'm sure many of you have gone through the same. I’m trying to avoid that 9 to 5 trend, even if I have to work tenfold harder than anyone else. I’d much rather work towards building my own business than becoming a slave for someone else and building their business. We all already know if you don’t decide how to live your own life, someone else will make that decision for you. You’re either working towards your own dreams, or you’re slaving away to help them work towards theirs. The only time I would actually consider a job is if it involved working for successful businessmen (or women) whom are willing to pass on some jewels of wisdom. In which case it'd be more like getting a degree in success than having job.

I’m truly looking forward to becoming a part of this community and connecting with all of you. Thank you all for providing so much invaluable information, and thank you MJ, you’ve done an extraordinary job! I hope to learn a lot here, heh I already have! :thankyousign:
