Hello everyone this is my first thread on here so i best introduce myself, im 21 and currently working as an engineer for machine tool manufacturer. always wanted to start up my own business but always thought i never had the time, money and all that other wantrepreneur bull. So i started to think i can make some money online so i have started developing a website to sell my particular niche through dropshipping. i figured with little space and not enough cash to start buying wholesale goods i would opt to try dropshipping as a way to get the feel for starting an e-commerce business.
This is where i am so far, recognised a niche that firstly interests me through my day to day life and something that i have knowledge in as i have tried half the products on the market to date anyway. i have got into contact with a dropship company and i am awaiting confirmation to use their company catalogue. I have a company name and logo made and website waiting to be launched and have purchased a domain name that suits my niche and company name. I know most people may think i should get the dropship supplier sorted first but i am just trying to keep things rolling as there are so many different threads on this forum that catch my eye on new ways to generate money through the internet that i get easily distracted and i end up doing nothing! so this time im concentrating solely on this project.
MY website so far has all it needs to start selling but obviously just need the stuff im going to sell on the website so ive decided on my next move which i am doing right now. I have created a landing page/ website being built page and plan to publish the website sooner to test the air. i have inputted a form where people can sign up to an automated email that sends them a linked banner to a potential brand that i will be supplying and some discount codes to use on their website. When they click on the banner and potentially make an order i will receive 8% of the sale from the brand affiliate marketing program. all money made will be put into marketing my website.
am i doing this the right way? is there a better method to what im doing? dropship advice at all?
I am a total begginer so i take every comment on the chin and looking for great advice.
