Thought I would post this in the slowlane where I currently reside.

This is the first book I have ever started and finished in one day, partly because it was so captivating, but also because I set out to do it and am actively working on execution/achieving goals.

An enormous amount of information is contained between those covers and I would like to thank MJ for compiling such an useful resource.

I learned a great deal of the black and white lessons that I'm sure everyone else learned, but I also realized a few things as it applies to me.

1. As I was reading through the sidewalk sections, I thought to myself "Phew... At least I'm not a sidewalker". However, after reading the traits of a slowlaner I realized how pathetically I fit the bill. After giving the matter some due thought, I came to the conclusion it didn't really matter if an aspiring individual is on the sidewalk OR in the slowlane because they are both at least one paradigm shift away from the fastlane. Said succinctly; You're either in the fastlane or you're not!

2. I found MJ's thoughts on accountability eye opening. I have always believed people should own their mistakes, mainly because if they don't that means they are usually blaming someone else to divert attention from their wrong doing. I thought of it as an act of good character more than anything. Now I see accountability as an useful tool to expose the failure/mistake for what it is. Only once someone owns up can the root cause be identified and lessons can be learned for next time.

3. Expecting failure to occur at some point will make said failure easier to handle. If I make it an expectation, it will be easier to react logically instead of being blindsided and reacting emotionally. I have drafted up my prediction for my buisness ventures;

Try, Fail, Learn......Try, Fail, Learn......Try, Fail, Learn......Use all that learning......Try, Succeed!!!

I understand everything has a learning curve. If I am able to learn from my failed attempts and apply it in the future, I will be all the wiser when I pursue subsequent projects.

4. I read a book. So What. The market doesn't care. How can I apply the lessons I learned to my situation in order to satisfy a need for the masses?
