I will mention @Merging Left (nice name btw) becuase I feel like he didn't get a good answer to a similar question he posted: post
Recently I saw an product that is doing well.
It solves a problem that I identified some time ago but couldn't solve.
After a year of increasing my skills, I am in the position to solve this problem and solve it better than my would-be competitor could ever hope to.
In fact, I've even established myself in a community of this niche (thanks @Andy Black ).
Doing some math I see he is making a good profit.
Would I be wise to drop out of the "problem searching phase"? And start destroying this guy?
I've recently committed to engaging the market and providing value to FB groups literally just 5 days ago.
I would feel like a quitter since I didn't find a worthy problem to solve using the method I committed to using.
Can someone experienced weigh in on this?
I just don't want to act based on emotion. I am emotional right now because this might work, I have some data, but mainly I "feel this".
@MJ DeMarco curious what you may think. I know you're about execution. In this case though there is only one competitor. Maybe that is too few?
Giving value and gathering data was logical, a better place to make a decision from...
