I've been following this studio for a while and have really liked their strategy. I believe they have done a fantastic job at utilizing the obtained traffic initially and subsequentially monetizing it with a hefty commission by being a publisher who heavily cross-promoted their games within the existing audience. I think they nailed it. They've identified a niche, and smashed it hard.
C: Google + Apple has the final say, but ultimately they control which games they publish and whether they are good enough for them to consider. (People chase them to have their games published)
E: They amassed quickly (by chance?) an audience and built a huge barrier to entry by having a great loyal following (see their Facebook page).
N: Great niche selection with having small, fun games, that people can play once, or the whole week and then uninstall and they will know there are more new games coming their way (They published almost every 1-2 weeks)
T: Nothing could be better: People chase you to have their game published. Most time (from my humble understanding) would go towards guiding devs how to set up their in game IAP and ads properly to have everything working + social (facebook) engagement by answering and maintaining the page.
S: Couldn't be better: All mobile users who like casual games on the go. Millions of people all around the world at your finger tips.
