I'm in the mood to share some knowledge, hopefully some of you can reflect on this…I wrote this 6 years ago when I had some serious confidence in my business at the time and in life. Now looking back on it, it’s been a helpful wakeup call...It really took me back.
10 rules to being an entrepreneurial junkie. (Originally I called them the 10 commandments…but we already have commandments here lol).
1. Most importantly, love thyself. Love everyone around you. Don't be a miserable black cloud. I mean it, take care of yourself whether poor or wealthy.
2. One of the biggest mistake young [HASHTAG]#entrepreneurs[/HASHTAG] make - be proud of what you're working on. Live it, love it, own it. Be proud or move on. Seriously!
3. Fu@k trying to be the guy with 10 @companies. Focus on 1 and take it to where it has to go. Get great at 1 thing not average at 10.
4. Make as many [HASHTAG]#friends[/HASHTAG] as you can. Honestly, get off your computer, put your fu@king phone down and shake a hand or complement someone.
5. Focus on transactional based business. Get ONE paying customer and make money tomorrow. Use the Internet without extreme overhead.
6. Do not take some crazy app idea of yours and dump 20k into it. Find a techie cofounder friend before you even think about tech ideas.
7. Do not sleep with your employees no matter how hot they are. That goes for coworkers, there friends, vendors. No 1 connected to the biz. I mean that!
8. Save money so you can eventually buy your woman a pair of Sergio Rossi's or [HASHTAG]#Louboutin[/HASHTAG]'s - real ones not that shit you'll buy on canal…
9.Hustle your a$$ off. No car? Take a bike. No bike? Take a cab. No money? Sell your soul. Do what you got to do, just get it done!
10. Pay everyone. Always. Pay staff. Pay designers. Pay bouncers. Anything essential that you cannot do...Pay!…and pay on time!
