My friend just gave me a call and he told me he had an awesome idea. Currently, he is 20 years old, and decided to buy a bus. No, that's not a joke, he bought a mini bus. At first he'd laugh about it, but eventually he began giving people rides and charging. With that money, he took care of his legal obligations and started a true business. After that, another bus, and another, and hired more drivers. He is 20 years old, owns 3 buses and literally runs his own taxi business with one small loan for the bus, everything else he paid in cash. Fastlane? HELL NO! But does he love it and make bank? Absolutely.
He now has become addicted to thinking of new ways to make money, we always talk about what we're doing and this time he called me really excited to ask me what I thought. He wanted to do a coin operated laundromat. It's almost like halfway fastlane but it is actually a physical product. I understand that if you use fairly good machines that don't kill your electric bill, you can save a ton. There are the obvious factors like maintenance that you'd need to address, maybe an aid to clean up around the place, but I've heard that some of these owners really make tons.
He said you should add a carwash too, and I said that was a bad idea because considering I work at one, the maintenance is insane on one of those, unless it was a coin operated wash.
What do you guys think!?
