My shift to a Fastlane mindset and lifestyle began recently in Law School. Like most of my peers who grew up in middle class suburbs (possibly lower by Western standards since i live in a 2nd world country - South Africa) the height of achievement was viewed as one of the professions i.e. Engineering, Medicine, Architectue, Teaching, Law. I chose the last. It seemed fitting. I was Public Speaking + Debating Captain, Toastmasters Regional Finalist, Student Representative Leader, an A student (as expected), the list goes on... Back then (like 2 years lol) the best I could do with my life was become a lawyer in a Big 4 firm (even bagged myself a bursary from one actually) and specialise in something thus making my way up to Partner. I was convinced this was my happily ever after...
I couldn't have been more foolish. Fast forward to a few months in Law School and basically I've become disillusioned with what I thought was an amazing career that'd make me a King-of-Babylon type figure. The more I researched and found out about the reality of the Proffesional Life i grew to resent my ill-informed choice. I wanted out! I STILL DO but at least I now have direction thanks to the Fastlane.
By some miracle (lots of reading & looking for alternative wealth/business books) I found THE MILLIONAIRE FASTLANE . This was a few months back and am now reading it for the third time. I'm learning more and more each time! I have sown an Idea which I am 1000% sure will afford me the lifestyle i want + influence i will yield in my life & business. The plan's course of action is coming together.
I'm amped to share and learn from everyone's journeys from this forum. I'm certain it'll be insightful, inspiring, and at best, a catalyst for truly transformational bonding with newfound peers.
