Since MJ's book has been read and as more people begin to read it I am sure the topic of Lead Generation will run rampant throughout the forums here. I think a lot of people still seeking wisdom on the topic will want details. As most of us know, it is not merely the idea but desire and execution that places us above the rest.
There seems to be a hazy patch between Lead generation and Affiliate programs I am personally having trouble wrapping my head around. Affiliate programs, as I am fully aware, pay based on successful referrals. In other words, if I refer a sale then I will receive a percentage of that sale.
Leads generation allows you to sell leads whether the potential client buys the service or not.
Please stop me at any point if I am getting this wrong as I am trying to wrap my head around the actual process. So if this is how it works, then there needs to be some sort of method to the madness. This method is what I am trying to wrap my head around.
So let's say there are Hunting and Fishing Guide Services looking for business. They are looking for outdoorsmen to contact in order to get them to come and be guided by their company. So let's say I have a website with thousands of members, free members.... from all over the country.
What method is used in order to turn those members into leads? Leads are only valuable if you have someone willing to buy them (Guide Services). So the first step, correct me if I am wrong, is to contact people who would be willing to purchase leads and set up deals with them. Then find ways to push information to these people?
Am I on the right track?
