Should I learn to code or is it best to make an MVP with nocode or something more intermediate level with features and see if people like it? If people like it they pay for the basic version and you I save enough money from that to have it programmed out by professional developers correct?

I've been told it takes years to be proficient enough at coding to start building an SAAS. It also takes quite a bit of time to be proficient at nocode but that is months not years.

So, is it better to learn code or nocode in 2024?

As a Software Engineer, knowing how to code can be a disadvantage while building a product. Engineers tend to focus too much on building the thing right instead of building the right thing. Learning to code can get you stuck in tutorial hell, where "you can always learn more". Learn whatever you need to accomplish your next step.

I always point people to Pieter Levels who blew my mind with his story of launching 12 startups in 12 months.

Another mandatory read NOTABLE! - What if you already know enough?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like that guy recommends learning to code and just make MVP versions of software.
