I live in PA.
Basically, my dad owns property that currently has a strip club on it. In PA if you sell alchohal in the club theres different rules that are prohibitive. We would rather not go that route and just keep it as BYOB.
So I told him lets put a small "6 pack store" right next to it. He seems interested in the idea.
Basically this road is right off a highway, back this dead end road there is our property, a hotel, 4 businesses including a very large construction business that has trucks going by all through the day. Also the long area bike/walking path goes right by us on this road. Theres also a pretty busy boat entrance to the river and a riverfront park down this road. So there is alot of different traffic down this road is my point. By car, bike and walking.
Anyway my point is has anyone here ever done a store like this? In PA you need atleast 300 sq ft and 30 seats to get a E liquor license to sell up to 192 fluid ounces of beer. Im thinking we wouldnt want anything very big. Maybe 300-400 sq ft.
Anyone have a idea on how much a steel building of that size would cost? Maybe ideas on things that would do well. I was thinking simple things like burgers, dogs, sausage, snow cones, candy, coffee.... How much would equipment like fryers and grills cost? Is buying used the way to go for stuff like that? Thanks for any input.
