Hello everyone. Finally joined today and wanted to share my story up to this point. I read TMF about a year and a half ago and have been busy taking action ever since. After reading the book I was looking to find a niche to get started in. Interestingly enough it finally came to me when my wife and I were looking for a solution for one of our children's needs. We found a product in the UK that was doing very well there but was not available in the US. We liked it so much we contacted the company owner and negotiated the rights to be the exclusive distributor for the products here in the US. Since then we have opened two on-line stores and have been busy to say the least.
After working non-stop for a few months we were seeing some success. Our on-line sales were going well and we have been able to get our products into a number of stores here in the US. Given this, we decided to take the leap and my wife left her 9-5 job to pursue the business full time. I am still holding down my 9-5 to help pay the bills until we can grow it further.
I have been lurking on here for a while and want to thank those that have provided so much information and insight. I have learned a lot through all of my trial and errors but have much more to learn. I look forward to contributing and hope I can help some others with what I have learned.
