First I want to thank @MJ DeMarco , for years I spent all my time chasing money and wondering where my money making events were.
You know where I found them?
They were hidden behind:
7 months of action
some failure
questioning if I was doing the right thing
believing the haters
ignoring the market
a little depression
After reading TMF I had some motivation but it wasn’t enough to keep me moving forward, then I joined INSIDERS and started a progress thread. I started making decisions about how I spent my time after seeing what others were doing. I made some new friends and starting surrounding myself with like minded individuals.

Now the important part here is that I didn’t seek advice from these people, I aimed to add value to what they were working on. Just like not chasing money, you CANNOT chase advice. You must provide value to those around you for them to return value to you. When you do that you will have more mentors and advisors than you could ever want.
Since November I have focused on the 1 thing that I had to do on any given day to move my project forward. Some days there was little I could do, other days it felt like and may have even appeared like I was action faking. For every unproductive day I matched with a SUPER productive day.
Now I’m not going to go into the individual steps that lead up to this event as they are covered in several other threads here on TMF .
But the time spent on the deal that this thread is talking about involved a 5 minute conversation with my partner, a 15 minute email, and a 30 minute phone call.
We talked about trying to sell a particular company on picking up a sizable order of our product.
I found the email contact addy and sent a detailed email that essentially said: Our product is a good match for you, we don’t have it yet, we will have it on X date, here is all our background info, here is the pricing, here is who has been using it, and give me a call when you have a chance.
I was at my day job walking out to my car for lunch when my phone rang.
During conversation with the company they sounded like it was a courtesy call, as they recognized we were a small company, without a product, and they didn’t know if we could even supply their min order. They gave us the min order and asked if we would even be able to meet that. Once I explained a little more about our company and what my daily production capability was coupled with how our supply chain is set up, everything changed. We hung up from that call with a letter of intent and an in person meeting to finalize details for the PO.
That is how I got my first 10k order in under an hour. Nevermind the 2500 man hours it took to get to that hour.
I fully attribute my progress to @MJ DeMarco , the fast lane mentality, My INSIDERS membership, and the people that work with me every single day at all hours of the day.
