Alright. My first thread. Hopefully I am doing everything right.
This is an idea which sounds relatively easy to me. I run several websites and have new ideas each day. So I am just sharing this one with you. I will not execute it as I am busy with my other websites. Feel free to adopt this idea or develop it for your needs.
I am from Germany and researched the market for this in Germany. I think this is transferable to the USA (and other states) as well. I did not research on competition in other states than Germany.
A short (quick 'n dirty) instruction in 10 steps:
1. Save the domain topmodel-2017.com (or similar - topmodel-2017 is free until now).
2. Build a functional and simple but classy looking website on that domain (based on WordPress with a Premium or free theme).
3. Summarize the former seasons of America's Next Topmodel with all the details you can extract.
4. Write content to America's Next Topmodel 2017. Make suggestions and assumptions according the judges and challenges.
5. On the first day ANTM is viewed in TV commercials find the press releases and create a profile page for each new model with details and photos about the models.
6. Fill the site with further information about the show. Write a summary for each episode when broadcasted in TV and these things. Thus you should bring your site to the top of Google's search rankings (you can invest money and execute active on- and offpage SEO as well, if you have the money and/or know what you are doing).
7. Insert a button "I want to become a model" onto the top of your site with an upload form. Request all details you can get (such as name, height, weight, birthday, haircolor, eyecolor, etc.). Also request different photos in this form.
8. Wait for the applicants and the enthusiastic visitors of your site.
Now you have the hot girls! Let's go to making money out of this.
9. Get in touch with model agencies and tell them you are an model arbitrator (don't know if this is the right word, sorry - you'll get what I mean) / agent and ask what they pay you for making a successful placement of one model (sorry again if this is not the correct word. I mean by placement that you give the agency the contact data and the agency lists the model in their files and lets companies book that model (which they get paid for)). You can also come up with "free" model applications at first to show them you have the contacts. A perfect would be if they pay you for a "lead" (instead of a placement).
10. Trade a good price. There are different types of models. Mainly there are hostesses (which are the "cheapest", photomodels and catwalk models (which are the "most expensive" ones).
The agencies in Germany usually take up to 40% of the model's fee. Some agencies also get paid for having the models in their files. Most models get paid hourly (catwalk models get paid for shows). If we assume you traded these commissions for you: Hostess: $50, photomodel: $75, catwalk model: $300. And also assuming the models get placed 1/3 in type (33% hostesses, 33% photo, 33% catwalk) you make ~1,400 bucks if you arbitrage 10 models a month. If you leverage this to 100 per month (or whatever number is possible), you can earn a good income.
If you don't want to do the arbitrage work, you can outsource this step to a virtual assistant if the project runs once.
If you can handle to become on site 1 of Google (between steps 4-6), you just utilize the broadcaster's marketing for the show for your needs.
