Market improving?

What say everyone? This group seems to be spread out all over the country, so we should be able to get a decent idea of whats going on.

I hate to say it because I don't want to end up eating these words, but up here in New England the market does seem to be showing some positive signs of life. A lot of the credit goes to Obama's $8k tax credit for first time home buyers, that program is pushing a lot of property.

I'm not really in the low end of my market ($150k-$250k), but according to several agents I have been talking to they are getting multiple offers on properly priced stuff in that range. Some of it is even selling over asking after only a few days on the market. That one surprised me, thought I went back in time to 2005 for a minute!

I'm hopeful that 2010 will show more positive signs of improvement.
