Well, call me crazy, but I've finally figured it out. I know what I want, I know what I want to do, and I have an idea about how I'm going to get it. Whilst trying to decide what I want, I realized that I was setting my goals much too low.
I was listening to the Success Magazine dual disk and the speaker was Les Brown (by far my favorite speaker).
It was in that moment that I realized... I only have one chance at life. Why then, should I set meager goals? So here is my list of long-term goals as well as my 3 year plan.
It's hard to share these with all of you, because I was once a subscriber to the "You CAN'T do that" mentality. In fact, my goals are so large and daunting, that I often question myself, my abilities, and my potential.
However I just need to remind myself and everyone on this beautiful forum to
Shoot for the Moon!
Because even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
So, without further ado, here are my MASSIVE Hairy Audacious Long Term Goals.
-Move to Toronto (Canada’s equivalent of New York City)
-Buy The Toronto Argonauts (A pro-football team in the CFL)
-Be a minority owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL Team)
-Be one of the 100 Wealthiest Canadians (Minimum required Net Worth = 454 million dollars)
-Become a Venture Capitalist and Angel Investor
-Star (or preferably just be a member) of a TV show similar to either the Apprentice, or Dragon’s Den/Shark Tank
-Write 10 books with combined sales of over 1,000,000 copies.
-Be awarded the Order of Canada (For my work in business, domestic and foreign charity work, activism, consumer advocacy)

-Buy a used car (or my mother's current car)
-Get my driver's licenses (Car and Motorcycle)

-Start other online ventures (solo and/or in partnership)
-Buy a property (a triplex) in Moncton, NB, Canada for $100,000-$200,000
-Build my poker bankroll

19-20 yrs old
-Start University (Business, Finance, eCommerce)
-Buy a property in Montreal (single family home) for $200,000-$300,000. Rent out extra bedrooms to friends or other students.
Relaying my goals has reinvigorated my desire to achieve them. I only have one chance.....and maybe I won't accomplish all that I want to... but I have this to say.
At least I will have tried
You don't know what your capable of unless you try. Having that burning desire, that 100% commitment, and a solid work ethic are all prerequisites to success. I want to live each day with integrity, compassion, and empathy. I want to give more than I ever could receive. I want to be a leader, inspiring millions around the world to strive for better lives. I want to be respected and looked up to as a role model... In short, I want to give every ounce of energy I have to this one beautiful gift called LIFE. To care any less should be sin, to fail to try....a tragedy.
Good Luck everyone, I'll keep you posted on my journey, as I hope you will too.
I'll leave you for now with this;
