More than 2 years after starting my new entrepreneurial journey, I'm going strong. Some things that have changed:
- I closed down on the business of selling online courses by 2021 (22 years old), and because of the CENTS principles, changed to the highly difficult and regulated medical technology field.
- By 2022 (23 years old) and in the second-last year of medical school, I started my medical technology company focused on medical software and IA for diagnosis support.
- By 2024 (25 years old), I'd raised over $900.000 for my medical technology company and finally had a firm enough grasp on the manufacturing and regulatory proccess for federal regulatory approval.
- Today, 2025, (26 years old), my company is looking at a $100,000.00/mo contract with the government and there is the potential for much more.
Whatever happens, there are some things to be remembered:
- Focus on markets with high barriers to entry: I specifically chose medtech because it is the hardest thing I could possibly think of doing.
- Focus on the proccess; as a medical doctor working in emergency medicine, there were days in which I could only spend about 5 minutes in the business. No matter, still doing it.
- Don't give up until it starts giving fruits. Still working on this one.
Thought I should chronicle this. And thanks, MJ! You're the one who taught me almost everything I know about being an entrepreneur.
