Hi guys,
I read MJ's book awhile ago, re-read it again a couple of months ago, and I'm already feeling the need to read it again. Sometimes I have a hard time retaining information and need to read something several times before I fully understand the content. Anyways, I found this forum awhile back through Bold and Determined, been lurking around, but not interacting much. Decided to get more involved a few days back.
Here's a little bit about me...
My name is Tim, I'm 21 years old, and I live in Taiwan. I spent most of my life traveling around the world. My parents are missionaries so most of my childhood was spent in foreign countries. I never had that entrepreneur spirit doing my childhood, because I was always told that money was the root of all evil, not surprising giving my religious upbringing. Our family mainly survived on donations. I recently realized how important money is and that I need to make as much of it as possible, sick of relying on people for hand-outs. There's not really much to tell as far as achievements go; I never went to college, I finished high-school, but it was a homeschool course, and I'm not even sure if people recognize the diploma. Though I'm not really interested in studying, I might attend a college once my income situation is fixed.
I have been working as a freelance writer for small websites for a few years now. It's not going as well as I hoped but since I live with my parents at the moment, it's enough for me to have some personal funds. I like to write and I have created several blogs, the most recent website I created is a portfolio for my writing services, an attempt to weasel into the higher paying freelance gigs. Anyways, most of the work I do is online, I absolutely don't want to teach English in Taiwan. I also study Chinese in the mornings, been studying for about a year and a half now, conversational levels, it's difficult for me, so I progress slower than most people.
Anyways, It's awesome to be a part of this community and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. Peace out.
