Instead of asking "omg! I need that one thing that will be perfect and get me out of this! What is it!" and then sitting there in a hole, MULTITASK and get things done in parallel, incrementally dipping back in to the hardst and most resistant projects when you feel it will not totally stall you.
Steves jobs said "As ceo I am a captain of a ship with a hole in it, and it is my job to point it in the right direction", my take on this is, you don't NEED a right direction in the middle parts of biz (as a general all rounder entrepenuer or start up), whilst it may be necessary to SOLEY direct the direction as the ceo, I think that as a founder/fixer/guy that keeps it treading water all day, you need to multitask.
You especially need to multitask when you are relying on feedback (emails, returned phone calls, someone to show up)
Use all your time diligently to serve YOUR purpose (getting stuff running) not solely to placate to each individual task as it slides onto your desk.
Solidify and revise:
This is probably the best tip I can think of regarding multitasking. When you are "away" from a task, solidify and revise action points, so that when you dip back in, you can offer a solid outlook and a solid set of actions that can be taken rather than have a thumb war every time you get back to that task.
Revise when you come into contact with the task, and as you are doing so, leverage and guage the importance of the current task by doing another thing in your head or in the background.
This way you can easily, "pop in and out" of the tasks.
This will allow you some really nice flow, and it should allow you to really slow down any sinking and manage progress more effectively.
