Hey everyone you all know me ive had agreat time posting here and ive learned alot from reading all the posts. Anyway to my question.
I work at a Honda Dealership in Northern Virginia while at the same time working torwards my goals to be a RE investor. I had "invested" in a 401k plan since I started working there. This was before I started my financial education with the rich dad books (im reading increase your financial IQ now). I have now found that I dont want to have my 401k anymore because I found a good REI with good ROI that I think the money would do much better for me. I have gone to the person in the company that deals with that and my boss to try and cash out my 401k plan. They have both said that the only way I could cash out my 401k plan is to quit. So I said alright if I quit and just come back would that work? They told me yes I could do that but I would start from square one meaning no health benefits for 6 months. Then after I get the health benefits back not only would I have to pay for them the benefits will be much worse than they are right now. I dont know what to do I know the money that is sitting in the 401k plan is loosing value everyday and it would do me more good if its in a good investment like real estate.
Thanks all for reading and the advice
