My first deal period, actually.
So I'm Samir, and about three weeks ago I got the opportunity of a life time.
About a month ago, a wealthy family friend who runs a business in Qatar visited my house in California. He was really fascinated with a product that we had in our house, a product that would sell loads in Qatar, but hasn't been brought to market yet. He asked my dad to ship a container full to him, explicitly saying that he did not want to deal with the manufacturer but wanted my dad to do it. He said my dad should send him the price, and he would pay.
My dad is very busy, so he said I can have the opportunity.
So I did the research, and found out that the container would fit about 450 of the products we have in our house. And that if I bought them all in bulk from the company, I would get them at half price.

I turned my whole life around. This open door was now my life.
I decided I was going to turn myself in the the best exporter in the world, that eventually my dad and the family friend would realize the money that could be made here, and that the value I provide would have to be so good it doesn't make sense to take the opportunity back.
That's where I am now, I have been doing research and maneuvering my position in emails to the director of sales, gaining leverage, I found the *BEST* freight forwarder, things like that.
The problem is, I am still experienced. I still have no actually experience what so ever. I don't know what I don't know about. That's why I signed up.
If there are any seasoned exporters, or any even a little more experienced in me, I am telling you, a few words of advice from you would be gold to me, and I would put so much care into my questions if your short on time. The container is going to be shipped in a fortnight.
