My goals

posting to keep myself accountable. i believe if you constantly reflect on your goals and aim high, you will accomplish greatness. my quality of life is great right now and i'm close to broke. i believe money will free me from wasting the most precious commodity on earth: our life. once i have mastered an automated salary to live comfortably, i want to get everything out of my 80 years of life that i can or die trying.

short term goals:
-finish the fire academy

6-18 month goals:
- either get a job with california or nevada state seasonal firefighting. i read today nevada pays 5-10k more in the fire season plus they dont have state income taxes.
- use my $30-50k seasonal money to play live and online poker semi-professionally while traveling (i'm spontaneous so it kind of depends where i want to go at the time. right now i'm thinking australia/new zealand. going to be november when i'm done firefighting.)
- start poker site explaining for free how i got from $0 to $1000 playing online poker in one month. get $75 referral from each person i get to the site i played on
- open an online college textbook trading site
- save money to buy real estate (damn the market is HOT HOT HOT! i just need startup capitol... i could be wrong). hopefully i can get money from my firefighting/poker/businesses to buy at least a small home which i can live in and rent out rooms while i improve the house.
- max out my ira whenever possible

long term goals (3+ years)
- keep reinvesting my money to grow it exponentially
- have at least 1 automated business so i can comfortably retire at age 25-30 (not that i'm going to ;p)
- become a politician

- find the perfect woman and start a family

- write a book
- be a teacher/guru at something
- do some sort of long distance bike riding
- have a six pack
- become a politician that actually serves the people
- make sure my family is comfortable for life
- discover a secret pleasure somewhere on earth that i didnt know about
- write at least one song
- own an andy warhol
