My name is Marcin, I come from Poland and I'm huge fan of MJ's book and this forum.
I launched my first site 7 months ago. The site performs now quite well now and I am going to develope the idea to the next steps further.
First some words about the site. The idea came from specyfic Polish circumstances - you propably don't know Polish retail online currency exchange market is really huge - it's assumed that the total turnover in 2013 reaches 10 000 000 000 USD.
Why? It's all because of large amount of foreign curriencies (mainly CHF, EUR) mortgages from years 2004-2009 c.a. 100 000 000 000 USD. Another factor - we Poles still have our currency (PLN) so we need to exchange it for EUR/USD/GBP/CHF in case of business/travel and so on).
As a result in Poland there are already more than 30 exchange offices and P2P trading platforms online. Monthly they exchange currency for a total of about 400 million USD. The largest operator in the market - the social network platform Walutomat.pl is likely to meet in this year's 2 billion USD trading. For comparison, a large western CurrencyFair.com service, one of the world leaders exchange the currency in 2013 for a total amount equivalent to 0.7 billion, so three times less.
OK, but comming back to my site. It's a comparison chart presenting live rates of 27 exchange operators - 25 Polish and 2 leading global operators (they are aware of the importance of Polish market). After 7 months it's quite good running business - it's profitable and all KPIs increase. Important: Its' quite a passive income And now the crucial question: what's next?
Of course I'd like to add new features and hence areas of profit, but on the other hand I am huge fan of focusing in business because I believe in the long term it's the best marketing strategy.
