My background has been working in financial services for the last 15+ years. This has involved working at a major bank in the UK. The roles have primarily been helping UK businesses access finance. This could be growth/acqusition/property/land etc.
Rather than one FTE it was really a combination where I felt there was a better way to help businesses and grow long term relationships.
In late summer I left my existing job and set up as a finance broker so that I could help businesses with their plans and arrange appropriate finance.
I am really pleased with progress in the first 3-4 months with all clients coming from people I already know or referrals from them/other professionals. No marketing spend.
I hope to help the forum by adding comments when people come to business/finance queries. I will try and add value where I can.
