Hi everyone. Before I begin writing my story here it's important for me to thank God for putting such a challenging idea into my mind and I'm further thankful that this forum was placed in my path. In addition, I'd like to thank Mr. MJ DeMarco, as this site has opened my eyes in understanding the real averages of time and achievement, as opposed to conventional thinking, and, has caused me to further think of ways to shape my original plan with fastlane ideologies.
My "plan" has been in the making since I believe in April of 2000 when I presented an idea to an ethics professor at the University of Michigan. The idea essentially centered on the possibility of a systematic reduction of poverty in America, and at first when I brought it up for discussion my professor was kind, but didn't really give me the time of day so to speak. This inturn caused me to want to outline it detail by detail from beginning to end to show that it could work, so I showed up one day about a half hour prior to class and did just that. After about 20 minutes or so of me pointing out this and detailing that, and using real-time factual data, he actually began making suggestions to me, which made me feel better that he actually started thinking about it. But the one thing for me that truly had the impact and I believe kept it with me all of this time was that after class that day, as I was leaving, my prof called me over to his desk and mentioned that if the idea worked, it had the potential to make me extremely wealthy and then added that he'd like to be a part of it when/if I got it started.
The idea itself is complicated but once outlined is actually kinda simple, and the motivating factor that has been sitting in the back of my mind all these years is the notion that the United States is a relatively young country, and has so much more left to discover and grow from. And my reality, until I found this site, was that I wouldn't see the full affect of what I start, but I can still plant the seed so that future generations could benefit.
But now, I'm swaying in my thoughts on duration, as I never ever thought about kicking something on a mass scale into the fast lane, let alone myself.
At this point I'm gonna leave it here though, as I plan on journaling my entire 'journey' right here, over the course of the next few years. There are several steps to outline, which to me for the most part are crystal clear, but I still need your help, and I humbly ask for any bits of input or eureka moments or anything that you the reader feels may help in achieving such an impossible task.
Thanks for reading.
