So, some years ago I read about affiliate marketing and how people made $xx,xxx a day, and I was a skeptic, then I read about startups and Twitter and Facebook and since that was something I could see I started my own website, tipzza.com, a small site that me and a old time friend developed and was starting to get some traffic, but then I got offered a job, the site was not showing that big of a success... so I got the job and let the site die.
Few years later I was reading MJ book, as always I never stopped thinking I could do/have more, and the main thing I noticed is this quote "All events of wealth are precluded by process, a backstory of trial, risk, hard work and sacrifice."
I realize I always wanted the event, but was not giving the process. So now I'm 30, at 29 I felt I was lost already, that I had failed on my goal to be rich at 25, so I just focused on being a great developer, and I managed to do that, but I'm not completely happy, even if PayPal contacts me to hire, paying me what in my country is good money (and in US is cheap work)... I'm not happy with just money but no freedom... In my country I do a decent amount of money, to be middle class or upper middle class.
But is not enough... So now I have different projects, one with my current employer, a startup type of project (also help them with other of their projects), that's my 9-5. And then in my free time I also started 3 different projects:
1) A health related site
2) A T-Shirts related site
3) Trying affiliate marketing with paid traffic with a very low budget (people recommend $1000 - $4000 a month, I have like $100 - $200 to use after expenses each month lol)
Progress is slow since I have family to dedicate time (that also depend on me), a 6 hours a day job, drive in my car around 4 hours a day, do other job related things for the other 2-4 hours, and have a few hours to read, test, and develop my projects. And since my health is not the best, I always need my 7-8 hours of sleep otherwise I become a zombie.
I'm not complaining, since I actually have a happy life, just getting real with what my starting point, but I know there is more, freedom, places to travel, things to learn, friends to make, money to make, things to enjoy, foods to try, etc.
Anyway, I'm writing this for two reasons, first one is that if I know maybe some people will read I'll have to give proof I'm actually doing the process. Second reason is to thank to everyone that writes their story, things they learned, etc. Really helps me and motivates me! So maybe one day someone will be in a similar situation and get something from value from this.
Anyway, thanks for reading! I'll post probably 1-6 times a month my progress here on my current projects and progress.
PS: That's my office in the pic right now, one day I dream of having an apartment or house in a nice beautiful place like Philippines or some place of Europe.
