OK I am in a unique situation for fastlane. Now regardless of what I do.. here is my environment and then try to place yourself into it now.
My wife and I have children. My wife makes enough money to pay all the bills we have. We don't have credit cards. We have a small mortgage and taxes. Very easy to pay for us. Sometimes we double the payments. My school loan is paid off. I am 34 years old. My wife is 32. My wife's school loans will be paid off in 2 years but we double payments on those sometimes too even if we don't have to. We have savings. We don't spend much except on food which we go through really fast and we buy stuff for the kids. But we are very comfortable with just my wife's job. I could not work for the rest of my life and we would be financially set. BUT, we would never be a millionaire.
Now... because I can use the money my wife makes to buy stuff we need it puts me in a situation that whatever I earn, I can put into a savings account or put it towards being a millionaire. Now I could earn $50,000 a year minimum and sock it away and in 20 years when I am in my mid 50's I would have a million in savings. How fun is that?
Or I could try to do this in 5 - 7 years.
Now I work online and only pay myself about $1,000 each month. I could probably pay more but my business savings account is adding up and I buy gold and silver bullion with it.
I am working on some projects that could potentially be fastlane. My goal is to get to 7 digits in under 10 years...
But take yourself and think of having no expenses that you have to pay. You have someone else that takes care of that from their paycheck. Everything you earn goes towards whatever you want. Now that's inspiring for me. Is it for you? What would you do?
This takes the stress off of me knowing I don't ever have to go work for anyone else ever again and that I can focus on my own goals as an entrepreneur. :smxF:
