I think I tried my best. I can't do it for her. My mother has been dealing with this problem for the past 2 decades. She is obese, and she blames the problem on her low metabolism. At her highest she was around 300 lbs, she's about low 200, because of gastric bypass surgery 5 years ago. She's 5'3. She joins gyms, but doesn't do it for more than a month. She has excuses for a lot of things, like I told her run around the block. "I can't do that in front of others." But a big event is around the corner this year.
So, she is on another diet, joining a new gym.
I want her to lose weight for good. You really can't live life until you get this over with, since I was obese at one time, and now I'm a healthy BMI. I need to eat healthier though, so I'm going to eat only eggs/vegetables, except at fancy restaurants; with pills to make up deficiency. She wants to lose weight, but I don't think she is ready to really to do that hard work and be consistent about it. I would hate her to be at the same weight a year from now, and start over again.
How could I make her more progressive about her weight loss? Thanks.
