So I've been reading TMF for the second time around and as I'm going over the money tree seedlings and how human resource systems have the potential to degrade passivity, I realized what seemed to be a slight contradiction of belief, though there could be a more significant distinction. In that chapter (ch.19) MJ talks about a parking business he was looking into, but stopped cold when he realized he would need 2 dozen employees because it puts a huge damper on passivity.
With that being said, I'd like to point out somewhere MJ seems to be contradicting himself about these concepts....

At 1:56 he talks about a packing company becoming a potential fastlane business. He goes on to talk about a "crew" that would be hired to come out and pack your home for you. You better believe there will be more than a couple dozen employees required for that business. Though this might seem like a fuzzy contradiction, I believe the true difference is this (and what I need clarification on) :
In the video MJ also mentions franchising the packing company. Is it safe to assume that is the key difference here? I figure the time of low passivity (as the business is being built up before franchising) is pretty much considered to be the process. But the same can be said about the parking business, the only thing is that it doesnt really obey the commandment of scale.
This post is by no means meant to call out MJ and accuse him of contradicting himself. I'd just like to have a brief discussion on what I've dissected above
