Alright guys,
I have been out here in Afghanistan for almost six months now. It sucks. I can't really describe it any other way. Think of the wild wild west, mixed in with a little bit of "I am Legend" where the beast things just don't stop attacking and don't care about dying. It sucks. I have been to Iraq three times, but it was nothing like this place.
Anyway, before I deployed to here I posted a thread on "How to make the best of being "Out of Pocket". I think I have done a pretty good job while I have been out here saving some money. And my wife is starting a venture of her own. (we are both pretty excited about that too) So things are going pretty good. I have been thinking and thinking the whole time I have been out here on a new product the government could use but have just been stumped. I kinda gave up for the time being and started to think about going home, and how to spend some of the down time before we leave here. Then it came to me.
I have a really great concept that isn't so much of a "Billion Dollar Idea", but it will lift the moral of deployed service members significantly aand make a good impact. That's more along the reasons that I want to do it. Its not really about money on this venture, its more about helping guys that are in my situation get their minds off of the stressors of battle. I don't want to completely disclose the idea, but it will be a non-profit that sends things to deployed service members. The revenue will be from generous, patriotic people going to a website and donating money to send these items to the service members. The average donation being about $10.
This idea invlolves recieving a certain industries "waste" (leftover or previously used stock that they will be throwing away) as donations, or for a very reduced price.
I would like to contact the proper personnel in these companies, and try to hash out an arrangement, or to see if its even possible to do this type of service with their leftover products.
So my question is, how would I go about finding the contact information for the companies Corporate Personnel? And should I be trying to contact VP's, or someone on a Director/Department Manager level? The companies are pretty big corporations.
I know that with everyone's extreme wealth of knowledge on here that I can depend on you guys to steer me in the right direction. I can never thank you all enough for giving me the immense amount of intuition, information, and motivation to keep pressing on. This forum and "The Millionaire Fastlane " have changed me. I love it!
Oh, and in less than two months, I'LL BE HOME!!!
