So I have tried "dropshipping" since October 2019. I started this new venture after realizing I don't want to work for my hard to quit job just because it gives me health insurance and job security (sike.. my "wright brother" job laid off 6000 people during coronavirus).. So I build multiple Shopify websites, ran some FB ads aimlessly and didn't get a single sale. But eventually, I struck an abundant thought, when you know, you know. "I can use money to influence people, doesn't matter how famous I am, just need some paper and good copy." That was my belief, I heard it many times on youtube videos but my own conclusion helped me believe it. Opportunity is everywhere.
Ever since March 15th and one lucky product that I found which nobody was selling, I (we) have generated 200k revenue with 20% profit. We were able to negotiate a deal to move 50k of my product to the US , shipped with my supplier US warehouse for half the price using free USPS parcel select and paid UPS shipping.
The only way I have survived so far with facebook feedback score and other factors is because I hired my girlfriend as a contractor to do all social media marketing and answer emails, literally the most important part. We have used yunexpress shipping which is a premium shipping method from china that usually takes 10-14 days. The last month, it has been taking 30-40 days. My girl has been answering emails by the hour, which in turn has kept our business afloat. She is able to turn even the angriest customer (imagine waiting 40 days for your product.. yikes) into a happy customer by taking her time and acknowledging their problem and becoming their friend.
