Hey everyone,
Thanks for having me. 25 year old guy from Ohio. My knowledge is mostly in nutrition, fitness, and self-help.
TMF changed my life, like EVERY aspect of life. I see the world differently. I listen to people differently. I am ON FIRE for life after reading this book.
My first 25 years of life went along the path laid before me: get good grades in school, go to college, graduate, get a job. I did that. And immediately I knew that the average person's guide to life was not for me. I spent a couple years doing A LOT of self-development but not really taking action (career-wise) on anything or really thinking about my financial future.
What really taught me discipline was my love of lifting weights and following a strict eating plan. I applied the wisdom and knowledge I gained from this practice in order to improve other areas of my life. One day I woke up and thought, "Why am I still so clueless about how to make money?" I had heard of The Millionaire Fastlane before from a blog but the title kind of turned me off. Like many others, I had a misconception that making money fast was "bad". What a bunch of bullshit.
I decided to buy the book and I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! When I was done with it I wanted to read it again, so I did.
So here I am today, on my second copywriting book of the Gary Halbert Challenge, just submitted an offer for a domain name, and getting over my fear of being vulnerable in an online forum.
I am returning to school to complete a master's program BUT my job is paying for my tuition. If my fastlane actions take me elsewhere, I am willing to drop out.
I am making just enough money to pay the bills but I refuse to trade any more of my time for money at a job so I will force myself to find a way to make supplemental money online. (Copywriting is my plan but I will look into Fiverr for now)
Anyway, enough about me. I look forward to meeting all of you. Since adopting the entrepreneur mindset I have realized how very few people get "it".
I'd like to leave anyone reading this with a little something, so I will offer my favorite quote:
"Life is hard because you take the test before you learn the lesson."
(lots of people have said variations of this so I'm not sure who to give the credit).
Take care, guys.
