I read "Unscripted " back in 2018. It was like the 50th entrepreneurship book I had read and I wish I would have just started with that and not read the other 49. At that time I was consuming every book, podcast, etc I could get my hands on. I knew something was wrong with my path and that book changed my life.
It lit the fire under my a$$ to start something. I had worked as a crane operator and made "good money" up until that point but wasn't fulfilled at all.
Now, since 2019, I own a river outfitter that grosses 500k between Memorial Day and Labor Day (with 40% margin after a decent salary for me) and I only work 2 days a week. I spend the rest of the year traveling around the world and tinkering with other businesses. This has allowed me to never work for anyone ever again while trying to find the business that's going to catapult me into the lifestyle that I'm really after.
I became complacent for a while these last few years and recently started reading MJ's most recent book and my fire has reignited. Just ended the river outfitter season and now looking to build something much more scalable.
