I tend to write a lot, and I particularly enjoyed this piece that I finished, so I guess I'll share it with you 
It's geared towards my friends and teens in general, but it's still a cute short read I think!
NEWS FLASH: Valentine's Day Sucks!

I can't have a girlfriend for a while (I'm moving accross the country in the summer, and would never put someone through that), so I figured I'd just help other dudes improve their relationships...cuz men, we seriously suck bad!!!
So the following is what you need to do right now if you have a girlfriend, and you love her. I don't give a shit what's on tv or if you want to watch a movie. Make her day a little brighter;
Challenge to guy’s with girlfriends: Stop whatever crap you’re doing right now, and spend at least the next half hour writing out a handwritten note to your girlfriend. Tell her how much you love her, that you’re thinking about her, and why you’re glad that she’s yours.
You’ll probably put a cute goofy smile on her face. What is there that’s better in this world other than making her happy? Nothing.
And why wait for a generic day, to buy a generic card, and a generic box of chocolates like on valentine’s day? Why not when she least expects it. Why not make it yourself (no matter how bad it might look) and put a cute picture from a fun time you guys shared, that she might have forgotten about...
No one ever said valentine’s day had to be expensive, and no one ever said that you’d have to spend any money to be her rockstar
If she’s having a bad day, you might just turn it around
Side note: I don't like Valentine's Day...Why not make every day special with your girlfriend? Why not show her how much you care with a little unexpected gesture once a week to make her smile. Something as silly as a note slipped into her jacket pocket that she'll find unexpectedly, or even something stupid like posting this on her wall. "I was just thinking about how much I love you, just thought I'd let you know 😀"
