I went to school for hvac but my end goal has always been to start my own hvac company. I’m currently working a job at a lower pay rate than I want because I believe this company can offer the most experience available to me. I’ve worked there for a year now and I don’t think there is much more for me to learn that they can teach me. If I’m going to be running my own business, then I won’t need to be a journeyman in hvac anyway. Although, I will need my hvac contractors license. I’ve borrowed some business books and now I’m saving up for my own work van. I don’t believe I’m ready to go out on my own, so I’m doing it anyways! I’m going to fumble my way through it and embarrass myself. Unscripted resonated with my soul and now I feel like I’ve been taken off of autopilot. This is my second attempt at a business. My first was amazon fba. I was good at amazon, but I didn’t find joy in it like I do with hvac. I’m thinking about moving to Dallas because there is a larger pool of potential employees. Recently I’ve been trying to look through the eyes of a boss to see what kind of paperwork I need to get familiar with. One step at a time I’ll get there. I’m 26 and I’ve been on this Hvac journey for 3 years now.
